Never crashed or stolen? Free of abuse and questionable modifications? I spot a fraud.

Nah. One pristine car doesn’t make the other stolen, crashed, Honda-red-badged Integras worth more.

I wouldn't want one. They're great cars, but they attract thieves like no other.

I really don’t get where this stereotype started....I thought thieves didn’t drive stick

In the time it took you to post this and for me to read it, this car was stolen 7 times.

HAHAHAHA because its a Honda right?! JK stop parroting others and explain why these are stolen

Say that to 240s.

Back in the 90s and early 00s around the Fast and Furious inception, these were on the top of the most stolen list. Primarily because they were getting chopped and all of the good parts were being thrown into civics.

The ones that are stealing Integras do, because they aren't stealing it because it's a car, rather because it's an Integra Type-R.

this Honda on a good day is a 30k car. a new lexus or infiniti or acura or bmw is worth more. why would they go after this highly identifiable car?
![]() 04/27/2016 at 10:15 |

It’s because they are not hard to steal and there is a huge market for the parts you can take from them.

I’d rather just wait 5 years and import an early JDM model for half the price. Or a Prelude Type S for, like, 1/4 the price.

Because they’re easier to steal than most other $30,000 cars (remember, most of those will have keyless ignition nowadays) and parts are worth quite a lot of money and there is a large network of people that buy them, no questions asked. Plus it’s a $30,000 car that is pretty inconspicuous. It won’t attract the same attention as most other cars with the same age:value ratio.

I thought it was because they were so easy to steal. I looked at several 99's and 2000 Si's back around 06 and 07 as a good fun daily, and literally every single one I was able to drive had a theft recovery title. There was an indy Honda shop nearby that did a bang up job putting them back together with OEM parts, maintaining their originality, but still, theft reco titles all around.

Why would you get offended by that? Its literally close to the top of list of most stolen vehicles due to desirability and the ability to swap parts.

I should have bought one of these 3-4 years ago, except its too
hot
of a car to have in NorCal or SoCal. Good luck keeping it intact.
For ~$28K I can think of many better options.
